SUMMARY:Marie Curie Forum × Oxford Forum: 2026 Spring Special
DESCRIPTION:Marie Curie Forum × Oxford Forum: 2026 Spring SpecialFocus: Fi
nTech and Corporate Innovation Event BackgroundAgainst the backdrop of a
new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation\, Ar
tificial Intelligence (AI)\, Big Data\, and digital platform technologies
are reshaping the operational mechanisms of financial systems and corpor
ate innovation models. FinTech\, represented by Large Language Models (LL
Ms) and intelligent algorithms\, has not only significantly enhanced info
rmation processing efficiency and decision support capabilities but is al
so restructuring corporate risk appetite\, innovation incentive mechanism
s\, and the logic of capital allocation.FinTech has evolved from a simple
technical tool into critical infrastructure influencing corporate strate
gic choices\, innovative behavior\, and market structure. However\, as al
gorithms play an increasingly pivotal role in financial decision-making a
nd corporate governance\, their ethical boundaries\, risk appetite format
ion mechanisms\, and impacts on innovation vitality and long-term economi
c efficiency remain subjects requiring deep theoretical exploration and e
mpirical research. To respond to these frontier issues\, the Marie Curie A
lumni Association (MCAA) China Chapter\, in collaboration with the Zhongg
uancun Unicorn Enterprise Development Alliance and the Oxford Chinese Stu
dents and Scholars Association (OXCSSA)\, is proud to launch the &quot\;M

 026. Focusing on &quot\;FinTech and Corporate Innovation\,&quot\; we have
specially invited heavyweight guests from both academia and industry to
engage in deep exchange and intellectual collision regarding AI-driven fi
nancial decision-making\, venture capital\, and corporate innovation. Ab
 out the &quot\;Marie Curie Forum&quot\; SeriesThe &quot\;Curie Forum&quot
\; series is dedicated to establishing a joint brand for high-level Sino-
European academic exchange. It aims to build a cross-regional\, interdisc
iplinary bridge of thought\, promoting deep cooperation between European
universities and Chinese research institutions in frontier fields. The se
ries seeks to gradually construct a new global ecosystem for academic exc
hange\, jointly exploring new opportunities for scientific innovation and
social development. Speaker Profiles Professor Shumiao OuyangAssociate

:AI as a Decision Maker: Ethics and Risk Preferences of Large Language Mo
delsAbstract:Large Language Models (LLMs) exhibit diverse and stable risk
preferences in economic decision-making tasks\, yet the causes of these
differences remain unclear. Based on a study of 50 LLMs\, we find that al
ignment tuning centered on harmlessness\, helpfulness\, and honesty syste
matically increases the models&#039\; risk aversion. For every 10% increa
se in ethical score\, risk appetite decreases by approximately 2% to 8%.
This introduced caution persists across different prompts and affects eco
nomic forecasting. Consequently\, while alignment enhances safety\, it ma
 y also suppress valuable risk-taking\, revealing a trade-off that could l
ead to suboptimal economic outcomes. Our research framework provides an a
daptable and long-term benchmark for continuously tracking model risk pre
ferences and this emerging trade-off relationship. Professor Li LipingVi

Research on Collusive Behavior Between Venture Capitalists and Entreprene
urs Based on Personal RelationshipsAbstract:In the development of venture
capital (VC)\, there are numerous issues that cannot be ignored\, includ
ing &quot\;collusive behavior&quot\; between venture capitalists and entr
epreneurs. Specifically\, collusive behavior in VC activities refers to i
mproper conduct where VCs and entrepreneurs seek personal gain at the exp
ense of minority shareholder interests\, thereby increasing corporate ope
rational risk. Collusive behavior not only misleads investors into making
erroneous decisions but also reduces the positive impact of venture capi
tal on innovation and entrepreneurial activities. Therefore\, identifying
and governing collusive behavior between VCs and entrepreneurs\, and mit
igating its adverse effects\, are issues worthy of attention and discussi
on in both theory and practice.Combining the principal-agent relationship
  in VC activities with the &quot\;Differential Mode of Association&quot\;
(Cha Xu Ge Ju) characteristic of Chinese social networks\, this paper fo
cuses on collusive behavior from the perspective of personal relationship
s\, utilizing Social Identity Theory\, Social Exchange Theory\, and Pro-r
elational Unethical Behavior Theory. By comprehensively analyzing the imp
act of personal relationships on collusion\, as well as the formation mec
hanisms and corporate governance measures for relationship-based collusio
n\, this study provides a decision-making basis for enterprises and gover
nments to prevent and govern such behavior. Centering on these research c
ontents\, the paper proposes hypotheses through theoretical reasoning and
deductive induction. Using Chinese GEM (Growth Enterprise Market) listed
companies supported by venture capital from 2009 to 2021 as a sample\, e
mpirical methods are used to verify the hypotheses. Based on the conclusi
ons\, relevant suggestions are proposed for the prevention of collusion a
nd corporate governance under the influence of personal relationships. X
