SUMMARY:MCAA Conversations on Inclusive Research Assessment
DESCRIPTION:BackgroundThe&amp\;nbsp\;CoARA Working Group TIER (Towards an I
nclusive Evaluation of Research) has developed evidence\, recommendations
and practical tools to support the reduction of biases in recruitment\,
career progression and research evaluation. As part of the TIER Disseminat
ion Tour\, the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) proposes to organise
a European high-level stakeholder dialogue event bringing together resea
rchers\, policy-makers\, funders\, university networks and research organ
isations to discuss how TIER findings can contribute to ongoing reforms o
f research assessment across the European Research Area (ERA).While most
dissemination events focus on implementation within specific institutiona
l or national contexts\, the MCAA event will offer a transnational perspe
ctive\, reflecting the experiences of internationally mobile researchers
and addressing challenges that affect the European research ecosystem as
a whole. The event comes at a particularly timely moment. Discussions on r
esearch assessment reform are advancing through CoARA\, while the Europea
n Commission is examining how gender considerations can be further mainst
reamed across ERA Actions and structural policies. At the same time\, fun
ders and research organisations are increasingly seeking practical approa
ches to operationalise responsible and inclusive assessment. The dialogue
will therefore focus not only on disseminating TIER results\, but also on
discussing how these findings can inform European policy development\, f
unding frameworks and institutional implementation. ObjectivesPresent th
