4th International Symposium on Enhanced Landfill Mining (ELFM IV)

The Enhanced Landfill Mining Symposium is organised on 5-6 Feb. 2018: DO NOT MISS IT!
The fourth edition of the ​Enhanced Landfill Mining 2018 Symposium is one of the most important international meetings on ELFM, an essential part of closing the loop in a circular economy. Participants will get a comprehensive overview of the broad domain of ELFM research and innovation.

On Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th Feb, we offer you a varied programme. The opening session includes an introductory speech of MEP Hilde Vautmans (tbc), highlighting the European perspective on ELFM. Later on, in four sessions, the state of the art of the research on Enhanced Landfill Mining is presented: 

a) Geophysics, remediation and preprocessing technologies;

b) Thermal valorization technologies;

c) Upcycling technologies;

d) Multi-criteria assessment.

The closing debate brings representatives from industry partners and policy makers together to discuss the ‘Challenges and Opportunities for Enhanced Landfill Mining’. Throughout the symposium, you can visit a poster area, listen to pitch presentations and enjoy the various social events.
