EAA 2017

The European Association of Archeologists is the Association for all professional archaeologists of Europe and beyond. The EAA has had over 11 000 members on its database from 60 countries world-wide working in prehistory, classical, medieval and later archaeology. The EAA Communities help define important aspects of archaeological work through constant discussion and consultation with EAA membership at EAA annual conferences and EAA publications: the European Journal of Archaeology, Themes in Contemporary Archaeology monographs, and The European Archaeologists newsletter.

The EAA board, the municipality of Maastricht, the province of Limburg and the Kingdom of the Netherlands are delighted to welcome you at the 23rd Annual Meeting of the European Association of Archaeologists (August 30th – September 2nd, 2017) in the historic town of Maastricht. The conference venue, MECC, offers perfect facilities for professional contacts and meeting friends. To stimulate discussion and dialogue, the Maastricht meeting will allow for experimentation in the session formats. Join us at this year’s meeting in the heart of Europe!
