The European Researchers’ Night will be held on 28th September 2018 in four Croatian cities: Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, and Pula. The MCAA Croatian Chapter will participate in these events and will have a desk in all four cities, next to the EC information desk.

The organisation of the European Researchers’ Night is the main activity of the project Techno-Past Techno-Future, with eighteen partners: the Ministry of Science and Education, the Institute for Social Research in Zagreb, the Ruđer Bošković Institute, the Old Church Slavonic Institute, the Institute for Adriatic Crops and Karst Reclamation, the Mediterranean Institute for Life Sciences, the British Council, the University of Zagreb, the University of Split, the University of Zadar, the University of Dubrovnik, the University of Pula, the University of Rijeka, the University of Osijek, the State Intellectual Property Office, the Catholic University of Croatia, the University North and the Croatian Science Foundation.

The European Researchers’ Night is traditionally held every year across Europe, on the last Friday in September, from 17h00 to 22h00. In the cities’ public areas, Croatian researchers will have desks with interactive content, primarily intended for the younger population. Furthermore, the programme also includes main stage activities, prize games and more. Activities are mainly intended for the younger population, i.e. the primary and secondary school children, and for the general public:  their purpose is fun, learning through play and presentations, thereby raising awareness among the general public about the main messages of the Techno-Past Techno-Future; European Researchers’ Night project.
