Networking Event: Perspectives on business-research collaboration

The Polish Chapter kindly invites MCAA members to participate in a networking event organized by the National Science Centre (NCN), Poland and Vitae. The meeting will gather laureates of the POLONEZ COFUND (MSCA/NCN), other NCN programmes, the Foundation for Polish Science, as well as MCAA members.

The National Science Centre (NCN) and Vitae invite you to attend our networking event at 6.15 – 8.15pm on Saturday 1 December 2018 at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Warsaw City Centre ( Golden Tulip w Warszawie, ul. Towarowa 2). Please register by Nov 27th by sending an email to polonez@ncn.gov.pl

Networking – the development, maintenance and leadership of networks of individuals who can offer advice and access to opportunities – is a valuable skill for researchers. Maintaining a wide professional network can prove helpful in your current role and may lead to your next collaboration, funding opportunity, contract post, or change of career.

The Vitae POLONEZ networking event will give you the opportunity to expand your network, meet interesting people and hear from speakers who work beyond academia in innovative start ups and research and development in business and industry.

Beginning with a keynote talk from Emilia Demczur of 3M, the event will also include an opportunity to hear the career stories of carefully-selected speakers and a chance for you to develop your networking skills in fun and creative ways. The event will set the foundations for a POLONEZ peer to peer alumni network as well as giving participants the opportunity to meet researchers from other programmes, including Marie Skłodowska-Curie and Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) fellows.
