Call for posters - ESOF 2016

by Aurelia Chaise

Dear Members, you are invited to present your posters at the MCAA Poster Stand for Young Researchers, which will be organised during the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) in Manchester, from 23-27 July 2016.

The Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) invites young researchers from Europe and all parts of the world to present their posters at the MCAA Poster Stand for Young Researchers, which will be organised during the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) in Manchester, from 23-27 July 2016.

The EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) is a biennial, pan-European, general science conference dedicated to scientific research and innovation. This major science event in Europe brings together over 4,500 leading thinkers, innovators, policy makers, journalists and educators from more than 90 countries, to discuss current and future breakthroughs in contemporary science.

The motto of this year’s event is ‘Science as Revolution’. It is an invitation for breakthrough ideas to continue scientific revolutions and to encourage a focus on past, present and future path-breaking science.

The MCAA Poster Stand for Young Researchers is being organised with the aim of making the work of young researchers known to the large and eminent audience that will attend the ESOF conference,  and to provide researchers with the opportunity to interact with prominent scientists, innovators and representatives from the corporate sector.

The opportunity is open to all young researchers, not only MCAA members.

In order to participate, you will need to produce a 300 words abstract related to one of the ESOF Themes and complete the online Application Form.

Please note, that ESOF provides special rates for registration fees. You will have to cover your travel and accommodation costs.

The deadline for the submission of abstracts has been extended and the Call may remain open until the end of June 2016. However, please note that the organisers reserve the right to close the call earlier if the capacity limit of the stand has been reached. Interested researchers are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment related to late submissions and the unavailability of slots for poster presentations.
