ESOF 2020 is coming! You can now submit your proposal

by Aurelia Chaise

Save the date! The next Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF) will take place in Trieste,  Italy from 5 to 9 July 2020. The call for proposals is open! To coordinate MCAA efforts, and get the board approval, you can register your proposal here by May 15.

MCAA @ ESOF2020

We have set up a ESOF2020 task force to help you with your submissions. If you have an idea for a session we invite you to register a simple expression of interest as early as possible to benefit the most from the support we can provide. You can also register an abstract and proposed speakers if you are in a more advanced stage of your writing. In turn, we will help with giving tips and tricks for a successful submission, help with finding speakers or panellist, and support you with your ESOF2020 submission! To submit a proposal to ESOF2020 under MCAA, board approval is necessary.

Register your proposal

It’s easy! Register your proposal on the google form by May 15, and we will get back to you with tips and tricks, put you in contact with other MCAA members who are proposing similar topics, and help you with finding speakers. We highly suggest cooperation between different chapters and workgroups - joint proposals are always the most successful!

You can register a proposal at various states of readiness, whether you have an idea for a proposal (early stage), you’ve started preparing everything but it’s not ready to submit (advanced stage), or you have a final version ready for board approval.

Science in the City Festival

Think science shows, workshops, exhibitions, theatre and music. This is what the Science in the City Festival is all about.

It’s a prominent feature of each EuroScience Open Forum. Dedicated to people of all ages who are curious about science and technology, the festival aims to engage the public.

Spanning three weeks (27 June to 11 July 2020) in the city of Trieste and the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, the festival is one of largest events of its kind in Europe.
