Parallel Session 2 - Partner's Session: Sustainable Research Career
Saturday, 28 March, 2020 - 14:00 - 15:30
Christian Weber is a post-doc researcher with the Institute of Knowledge-Based Systems and Knowledge Management (KBS & KM), University of Siegen, Germany. The focus of his PhD was on developing a semantic and structure-aware concept importance measure for concepts within domain ontologies for the scope of technology enhanced learning. His research interests include intelligent systems and semantic technologies, machine learning and industry 4.0 applications - with a strong focus on supporting human centred applications. When he is not in close contact with the industry to find new ways to deploy human-aware AI solutions for a smarter production, he is excited to push the boundaries of PhD education. With the newly funded Erasmus+ strategic partnership for higher education OEduverse, he is planning with a well placed consortium to create a summer school based training curriculum to push more sustainable researcher careers through the lens of open science.
