Dear all,
By taking into consideration age, gender, nationality, experience, geographical area, motivation, communication and replying of emails, availability to stay one year from Aug 2014 in Italy, we have choosen 7 members + 1 (me) i.e. a team of 8 people to work as founding members and work on the draft (though only 5 were needed). We try to make everybody happy. Other members will be appointed as associating members. The team is for one year and next year, we will choose a new team by voting.
I will put the names here, if anyone has any objection or really want to join the chapter with motivation, we will include him/her after discussion with other founding members. We need to work as a team to make this chapter successful.

Hi,
I think it would be good that every institution would have a founding meber. Being the Italian Chapter, I think the choice should be beased on this rather on the nationality of the members. (Also, I guess it would be important to co-ordinate eventual activirty/sgaring). what do you think?
Best,
S.

Bhavna Rani, University of Bari
Angela Bellia, University of Bolognia

Since, Italy is a big country by geographical area and the MCAA support grant is very small, also above said fellows are mostly located in northern region, we will name it MCAA-Northern Italy chapter because other important geographical areas in Italy are not included. Also, there is one siscily chapter already exist in the south region. As the fellows from all regions have shown overwhelming enthusiasm towards the chapter, we can also include more region but that will be very difficult to manage due to monetary limitations. Therefore, I think its better to start with smaller chapter and organize it better, interact with other regional chapter of the Italy and in near future, come up as a big organization with experience. Also, it would be very difficult to justify in grant the activities how we are including all regions with no external support until now with that fewer money. Ofcourse, fellows will contribute some part and Chapter will contribute some....
Dear Members,
Dont be dissapoointed if you dont find your name in the first list. If you are very much motivated towards the chapter, a good time manager, communicative and want to increase your professional network, write to us and we will also include you as founding member of the chapter. It is important that you stay 1 year from the day of grant submission in Italy i.e. from July 2014 to July 2015, communicative and have time to attend meetings of the chapter and want to work for it.
We need everybody support and motivation. The minimum number of fellows require to open a chapter is 5 but there is no maximum limit. We would be very happy to include more proactive, enthusiastic, working members for the chapters. so, hurry up. The last date of submission of grant is approaching soon.
