About the MCAA
The Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) is an international non-profit organisation and alumni community for people who currently benefit or have benefited from the European Commission's Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) research funding.
Our vibrant community brings together MSCA alumni from all career stages, disciplines, and sectors. Although our members share a strong background in research, their careers evolve in various directions, often beyond research. Within the MCAA, we praise this diversity and the positive impact we can spread in all areas of society. We offer our members lifelong professional development, networking, and advocacy opportunities, extending the MSCA support to benefit former fellows’ entire careers.
The MCAA was established and is supported by the European Commission but is largely run by volunteer members with a bottom-up approach.

Our vision, mission, and goals
Vision:
To create an inclusive and sustainable research environment that enables knowledge to benefit society.
Mission:
Goals:
Connect the MSCA community:
We aim to bring MSCA alumni together and support current and past fellows’ networking opportunities and professional development. We strive to increase the visibility and reputation of our community, the educational and research institutions and programmes that participate in the MSCA, and the European research ecosystem.
Support the MCAA members’ career development:
We provide opportunities for our members to expand their knowledge and expertise via training, networking, and collaboration with peers. We also share updates regarding the European research, innovation, and policy landscape and information on jobs, funding, and education opportunities, as well as give guidance on career development and change.
Advocate for researchers’ interests:
We aim to influence the European scientific and policy environment by representing the MCAA members. We do this by increasing our community's visibility in events, meetings, and via our communication channels, establishing agreements and collaborations with other organisations, and disseminating the views of the MCAA to decision-makers, funders, industry, and other stakeholders related to science policy.
