Annelies Van de Ven is a policy officer in the MSCA Unit at the European Commission, working on topics as diverse as Choose Europe, Open Science and Research Management. She started her work at the Commission by co-creating the updated MSCA supervision guidelines, in which the MCAA had a key role. Prior to her current role, she was a researcher working in the history of archaeology. As a researcher, she was based in Belgium, Australia and the UK. Her fieldwork brought her to many more locations, with a focus on the archaeology of the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
