Ashwani Kumar Tiwari is an Assistant Professor in the School of Environmental Sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru University (New Delhi, India). His research areas are hydro-geochemistry, contamination of water resources by geogenic and anthropogenic activities, water resource management, and GIS. Tiwari was a postdoctoral researcher at Politecnico di Torino (Turin, Italy). He was awarded with Erasmus Mundus Scholarship and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions fellowship. He is a member of the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) and the Indian National Young Academy of Science (INYAS). He is also one of three Erasmus Mundus Association (EMA) Country Representatives for India and a member of the Steering Committee of the Early Career Hydrogeologists Network (ECHN), IAH.
