A trained civil engineer, Bernard De Cannière, also holds an advanced degree in psychology. He has lectured on digital transformation and change management at the École polytechnique de Bruxelles and at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management. With a multidisciplinary, entrepreneurial outlook, his international career as a founder and business leader has taken him across a broad range of sectors, including industry, information technology and healthcare. In January 2024, he was appointed Chairman of the Board of the Université libre de Bruxelles.
