The FRAME project on the EU and human rights is coming to an end in April 2017. Since its launch in May 2013, the project has yielded a wide array of research findings which were publicised in many different forms: comprehensive reports, policy briefs, academic articles, blogs, conferences, workshops, briefings, a MOOC, etc. In total, more than 8000 pages of research output were published, and close to 100 events organised across the EU, and the world, as part of the project. On 26th April 2017, you are invited to FRAME’s final conference at the Palace of the Academies in Brussels. EU officials, practitioners, academics and civil society representatives will gather to discuss themes linked to the EU and human rights during keynote speeches, panel discussions and a high-level roundtable.

This final conference will also be the occasion to present the FRAME outcome document, which will outline the project’s main findings and list key policy recommendations.

With keynote addresses by Morten Kjaerum (Director of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights), Herman Van Rompuy (Former President of the European Council) and Stavros Lambrinidis (EU Special Representative on Human Rights). Other speakers include Olivier de Schutter (Professor of Law, University of Louvain), Manfred Nowak (Professor of International Law and Human Rights, University of Vienna), Karen Smith (Professor of International Relations, London School of Economics) and Prof. Jan Wouters (Professor of International Law and International Organizations, KU Leuven) and many more.
