To enable more Chinese scholars to know more about the Horizon Europe Young Talent Program Action Plans, to encourage more and more Chinese researchers to actively participate in the application of Horizon Europe related projects, and to strongly promote and enhance the influence of Chinese scholars in the European academic and industrial communities, MCAA China initiates the "Horizon Europe Young Talent Programs (ERC+ Marie Curie Postdoc/PhD) Application Experience Sharing" Webinar.

This webinar has invited Prof. Daqing Wang (who was awarded the ERC Starting Grant project), Dr. Tao Yang (who was awarded the Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship), and Wen Wu (who was awarded the Marie Curie PhD Fellowship), to share their application experiences. In addition, Halldór Berg (who is the Chief Representative of EURAXESS China) has been invited to share the application requirements and latest policies of these Horizon Europe Young Talent Programs with us.
The seminar is free and welcomes all the interested academics, industry experts and students to attend.

Daqing Wang is a professor at the Institute of Experimental Physics, University of Kassel, Germany. His research interests include quantum optics, atomic-molecular physics and quantum technology. He was awarded an ERC Starting Grant in 2022 (€1.5 million direct funding).

Introduction of Marie Curie Postdoctoral Project and Application Experience
Profile
Dr. Yang Tao is the EU Marie Curie Scholar and Board Member of the MCAA China. He first applied for the Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2021 and was successfully selected in 2022. He is currently working on a two-year Marie Curie postdoctoral project at the Technical University of Munich. His research interests include the acoustic metamaterials, acoustic properties of advanced fibrous materials, thermal and airflow penetration properties of fibrous aggregates, and inverse method characterisation.

Profile
Wen Wu is a Marie Curie PhD Fellowship winner and current PhD candidate at the University of Nottingham. He is the Board Member of the MCAA China. His main research interests include guided wave-based damage characterisation and reliability analysis of wind turbines.
