International Transport Forum – Transport for a changing world

The International Transport Forum will take place from 21 to 23 Mai in Leipzig, Germany.

This will be an opportunity to focus on transport within a changing world. The forum will address themes as:

·        Climate change adaptation and extreme events;

·        Adapting the vehicle to a new society;

·        How shifts in Global economic balance affect transport;

·        Creating liveable cities in a changing urban landscape;

·        Planning for greener and more inclusive transport.

Discussions will be led, among others, by representatives from the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), from IBM, from the Volvo Group and from the International Energy Agency.

Ministers from 54 ITF member countries and more than 20 invited countries, CEOs and business leaders ­from transport and related sectors, Heads and senior representatives of international organisations, Heads of global, regional and national business associations, Leading researchers and academics ­from transport-related disciplines and participants ­from around 80 countries are expected to participate.
