MCAA Gender Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Workshop

We are pleased to invite the early career stage researchers to attend MCAA Gender Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Workshop on the 26th March 2019, which is organised together by the MCAA-UK Chapter and MCAA Gender Equality and diversity for Mobile researchers in Science (GEMS) working group and hosted by Newcastle University.

Overview

High-profile professionals from across academia and industry will gather together to share their ideas on the positive and negative aspects of mobility towards achieving inclusive workplaces. We aim to make the early career stage researchers aware of mobility under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions as an example of a successful career path, mobility and opportunities in industry, as well as mobility related challenges in their personal lives. As a long-term goal, the MCAA Gender Equality, Diversity and Inclusion workshop aims to contribute towards increasing diversity and development in environments for studying and working in science that are open to all. Additionally, the workshop will be the ideal opportunity to find out more about the MCAA-UK Chapter and MCAA-GEMS Working Group, their activities, share ideas, and make new connections.
