'Fibre Optic Nonlinear Technologies (FONTE)' European Industrial Doctorate: 1 PhD Position available at Aston University, UK

A position is available for an ESR in the European Industrial Doctorate FONTE https://fonte.astonphotonics.uk/ to work on the development of new optical transmission methods based on nonlinear Fourier transform.

The successfull applicant will work on the theoretical development and experimental verification of new coding and modulations techniques for NFT-based optical transmission systems with the objective to develop the most advanced NFT-based systems and gain an extra-high spectral efficiency employing novel design ideas, coding and digital signal processing techniques for NFT-based systems.

The position is available at Aston Institute of Photonic Technologies (AiPT) within the Aston University, UK with a generous salary according to MSCA rules of  living allowance and mobility allowance, together £32,750 pa plus family allowance where appropriate.
