Host for MSCA individual fellowship on steroid metabolism in gynaecological disorders

Our team, the Maastricht Endometrium Research Group, within the department of gynaecology (Maastricht University Medical Centre) is studying the role of steroid hormones and their local generation in gynaecological disorders. We use state of the art technologies like LC-MS/MS to profile steroids, RNAseq for expression profiling and we make use of a wide variety of approaches, observation on patient materials, in vitro and 3-D (spheroid and organoid) cultures, and in vivo chorioallantoic membrane and mouse models.

The team has a strong international profile, and numerous collaborations with other academic institutions and pharma companies.

 

We are now looking for motivated post Docs willing to draft and apply for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie proposal (MSCA, IF or other suitable types) on a topic related to the aforementioned theme.

We offer full support in writing and finalizing the project proposal.

 

Maastricht University (and the associated Medical Centre) is the youngest university in the Netherlands, with a strong international profile and a growing scientific community. The medical and oncological research is performed within the institute GROW-School for Oncology and Developmental Biology accredited by the Royal Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). GROW focuses on research and teaching of (epi)genetic and cellular concepts, as well as (micro)environmental factors underlying normal and abnormal development.

 

Candidates should have a solid cell biology background, expertise to work with mice and a reasonable publication list.
