IT Officer
Job description:
MCAA is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive IT Officer to help us amplify, connect, and expand important existing work within our strong community.
The IT Officer will be responsible for all IT-related activities of the association, including but not limited to the following:
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between various internal teams, including the board, operational team, communication team, IT team, and external IT service provider, on all IT-related activities.
- Ensure seamless integration and alignment of IT initiatives with the organisation's overall goals and objectives.
- Regularly assess the performance and effectiveness of IT services.
- Utilise platforms, such as Monday.com (Monday), to design, implement, and manage internal IT
- processes.
- Update and maintain the content of the website as required.
- Provide assistance in evaluating grants, awards, session proposals, recruitment, and other internal processes requiring IT expertise (such as website management, Monday and G Suite tools)
- Oversee the administrative accounts across various IT platforms, including but not limited to G Suite, Monday, the MCAA website, Zoom, and Miro.
- Oversee and manage event platforms, such as Brella and Eventbrite.
- Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all software licenses used within the organisation.
- Provide training and support to staff members on the use of IT systems, tools, and platforms.
- Coordinate the feedback from the MCAA needed for the development of the organisation’s new website (done by an external agency).
- Track IT-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for different projects.
- Support reporting and deliverables for IT-related activities.
What we expect:
- A graduate qualification or higher
- Proven experience in a similar position
- Familiarity with IT software and platforms (Monday, G Suite, Teams, Miro, Adobe, Drupal)
- Basic knowledge of website management using Drupal
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent teamwork abilities, particularly in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary context
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- The readiness to join an international virtual team
Will be considered as advantages:
- A master’s degree in a relevant field
- More than two years of experience in a similar role
- A person residing in Belgium or willing to relocate to Belgium, if necessary
What we offer:
- MCAA service contract as a freelancer from May 2024 until the end of December 2024, renewable depending on the performance and the availability of the budget.
- Compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, with a daily gross rate ranging from 140 euros to 160 euros. A correction coefficient may apply depending on the geopolitical location.
- The position is expected to be half-time, approximately 20 hours per week, but the hours can be increased depending on performance and need.
