Partnership & Sponsorship Officer (Freelancer, Part-time, Remote Position)
Job Description:
The Partnership & Sponsorship Officer will coordinate and support MCAA's partnership and sponsorship activities, contributing to the growth and visibility of the organisation. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Identifying and approaching potential partners and sponsors who share MCAA's mission and objectives, and are aligned with our programs
- Securing sponsorship for major events, such as the MCAA General Assembly & Annual Conference.
- Developing compelling partnership proposals that outline clear benefits for both MCAA and the partners or sponsors.
- Building and nurturing relationships with existing partners and sponsors, ensuring ongoing collaboration and support.
- Collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure the successful execution of partnership agreements and meeting sponsor expectations.
- Monitoring trends in partnerships and sponsorships, and proactively identifying new opportunities to increase MCAA's visibility and impact.
- Maintaining accurate records of partnership and sponsorship activities, including contracts, communications, and deliverables.
What We Expect:
- Graduate qualification or higher in a relevant field.
- Experience in securing partnerships and sponsorships, ideally within non-profits, NGOs, or international organisations.
- Strong knowledge of marketing, branding, licensing, and merchandising.
- Experience working in multicultural environments and with international teams.
- Communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to create persuasive partnership proposals and presentations tailored to different audiences.
- Proficiency with tools like spreadsheets, project management software (e.g., Monday.com), G Suite, CRM systems, and other collaborative tools.
- Fluent in English (at least C1 level), with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- High attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise responsibilities effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders with professionalism and tact.
- Readiness to join a global virtual team.
- Availability during Western European working hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Previous experience with scientific or alumni organisations is a plus. Please include details about such experiences in your CV.
- Relevant training from organisations like CASE or similar.
- Prior experience in fundraising, sponsorship development, or partnership management.
- C2 level proficiency in English.
- B2 level in French is an asset.
- Residing in Belgium or willing to relocate (if needed)
What We Offer:
- Service contract as a freelancer from June 15, 2025 until May 31, 2026. The duration can be extended based on the performance.
- Compensation based on relevant experience, with a daily gross rate ranging from 140 to 160 Euros. A correction coefficient may apply based on geographical location.
- Part-time position, requiring approximately 3 to 4 days per month, approximately 50 days per year, with a higher level of commitment before the MCAA Annual Conference.
