Eligibility Criteria: Candidates of any nationality who hold a PhD degree in biology, chemistry, chemical or biochemical engineering, materials or polymer sciences with a profile that complies with the following requirements: a) Degree completed more than 3 less than 8 years ago; b) Proficiency in English (written and spoken); c) Proven experience of at least 4 years in one of the 2 the following profiles.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience one of those two profiles:
Proflie 01: The candidate should have experience in organic or polymer chemistry, preferably with experience in polysaccharide modification. Knowledge in polymer characterization techniques such as gel permeation chromatography, nuclear magnetic resonance and rheology will be favourable. Experience in applications related to cartilage regeneration will be advantageous.
Proflie 02: The candidate should have experience in preparation of cell compatible hydrogels/scaffolds for tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, or 3D cancer model. Knowledge in cell characterization techniques such as, viability and metabolic activity assays, cell morphology by immunocytochemistry with confocal laser scanning microscope and real time PCR to monitor cell differentiation will be favourable. Experience in applications related to cartilage regeneration will be advantageous.
