About the team and working project

The group “lysine methylation-based cellular signaling in cancer” is directed by Dr Nicolas REYNOIRD, who will be the supervisor of this postdoctoral project. This group is part of the lab “Tumor Molecular Pathologies and Biomarkers” working on different cellular signaling topics, and located at the Institute for Advance Biosciences, Grenoble, France (https://iab.univ-grenoble-alpes.fr/?language=en).

Our focus is to identify new lysine methylation signaling and its implication in cancer, through the identification of novel substrates of lysine methyltransferases involved in tumorigenesis. The proposed project will aim to characterize methylation events of new substrates already identified and validated in the lab.

This work is a collaborative project with Dr Kadlec lab, expert in structural biology at the IBS, Grenoble (another 2y postdoc position in structural biology is offered in parallel in structural biology: jan.kadlec@ibs.fr), and both postdocs will work together on different aspects of the project.
