Job description:
We are seeking a Project Officer to join the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) to support in writing proposals and project activities. This position will be primarily focused on writing new project proposals and assisting the Project Manager and the Executive Director with various tasks related to project deliverables and overall management. The Project Officer will support the operational execution of MCAA’s duties within the project, contributing to the development of new initiatives and project activities.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Project Proposal Writing: Lead the drafting and development of new project proposals, including collaborating with relevant stakeholders, conducting research, and ensuring compliance with funding guidelines.
- Assisting with Deliverables: Support the Project Manager in the preparation and submission of project deliverables, including technical and administrative reporting.
- Project Coordination: Help coordinate and administrate project activities, ensuring smooth execution.
- Documentation and Records Management: Organise and maintain project documentation and records, including reports, meeting minutes, and project updates.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of project activities and provide support with reporting on project progress.
- Assist in Financial Administration: Support the financial management of the project, including budget tracking and expense reporting to ensure compliance with project financial guidelines.
What we expect:
- Graduate qualification or higher in a relevant field
- Experience in writing and securing project grants under the European Framework Programmes.
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication Abilities: Experience in writing proposals, reports, and project documentation.
- Experience in Project Management: Familiarity with managing project activities and supporting deliverables.
- Experience working in multicultural environments and with international teams.
- Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team: Comfortable working autonomously and collaborating with an international team.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, project management software (e.g., Monday.com), G Suite, and other collaborative tools.
- Understanding of budget tracking and expense reporting.
- Fluent in English (at least C1 level), with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- High attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders with professionalism and tact.
- Readiness to join a global virtual team.
- Availability during Western European working hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working on EU-funded projects, particularly with Horizon Europe projects.
- Experience with proposal writing. Please include details about the grants you secured in your CV, specifying the Funding Program, Amount, and Domain.
- Knowledge of financial administration and budgeting processes.
- Familiarity with project management tools and software.
What we offer:
- Service contract as a freelancer from June 1, 2,025, till May 31, 2026, renewable based on performance.
- Compensation based on relevant experience, with a daily gross rate ranging from 140 to 160 Euros. A correction coefficient may apply depending on geographical location.
- Part-time position, requiring approximately 2 to 3 days per month, approximately 50 days per year, with a higher level of commitment before the Proposal submission phase.
