MCAA Surveys
Giving MSCA Fellows a Stronger Voice
At the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA), surveys are one of our most important tools for representing the voice of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) community. With over 23,000 members worldwide, our collective experience is a powerful source of evidence for shaping European research and innovation policies.
Surveys help us understand the real experiences, needs, and challenges of MSCA fellows—from research mobility and career development to open science and research assessment. The feedback collected is systematically analysed and translated into policy recommendations for the European Commission, including the MSCA Unit, and other decision-makers, ensuring that the MSCA programme continues to evolve in ways that benefit researchers at all career stages.
For policymakers, our surveys provide data-driven insights directly from the field, helping to design funding schemes and research policies that are excellent in ambition and relevant and fair in implementation.
For MCAA members, participating in surveys is more than sharing an opinion - it is a way to shape the future of the MSCA programme and strengthen the research ecosystem. The evidence we gather directly informs our advocacy work, position papers, and policy statements.
Why you should participate in MCAA surveys
Your voice matters and makes a difference. By participating in MCAA surveys, you:
- - Shape evidence-based policy: Your feedback directly contributes to the MCAA’s recommendations to the European Commission and other key stakeholders.
- - Improve the MSCA experience: From stronger career support to fairer research assessment, your input helps us advocate for meaningful improvements to the MSCA programme.
- - Strengthen the research community: Sharing your experiences helps other fellows, especially early-career researchers, navigate similar challenges and opportunities.
- - Make your voice count for the benefit of a global network: With over 23,000 members worldwide, the MCAA provides the most representative alumni-driven insight into the MSCA experience.
By participating, you can also get a chance to win incentives, such as a free ticket to the MCAA Annual Conference - find out more about the incentives inside each survey.
