Maria Magdalena Razalan

Maria Magdalena is a Senior Grants Manager at the Academy of Medical Sciences, where she leads the delivery of clinical research funding programmes. With a background in biotechnology, she brings a researcher’s perspective to research funding, programme delivery, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership. Maria Magdalena has been actively involved in the MCAA for several years, including as former Chair of the UK Chapter. She is now serving her second mandate as Secretary of the MCAA Executive Committee, contributing to the Association’s strategic direction and supporting initiatives that strengthen researcher networks, professional development, and collaboration. Maria Magdalena is passionate about fostering connections across disciplines and borders, and helping researchers and research communities thrive. She holds a PhD in Biology, an MSc in Industrial Biotechnology, and a degree in Biotechnology. Of Filipino origins and Italian nationality, Maria Magdalena is currently based in England, UK.
