Pablo Emiliano Tomatis

Pablo E. Tomatis is a CONICET researcher at the Instituto de Biología Molecular y Celular de Rosario (IBR) and a lecturer in Biophysics at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Argentina. He holds a PhD in Biological Sciences and a degree in Biotechnology, and carried out MSCA-funded postdoctoral research at the University of Zürich, Switzerland. His work focuses on protein biochemistry, enzymology, molecular evolution, and antibiotic resistance. He is now the Executive Director of IBR and President of Fundación IBR. Pablo brings experience in research management, institutional coordination, funding administration, and science communication. Within the MCAA, Pablo has served as Chair of the Argentina Chapter and helped organise regional and annual MCAA conferences.
