Dear Benelux members,

I write you because I was one of the members of our chapter granted with two micro-grans to CONNECT and PROMOTE. A short summary about them:

TO CONNECT: I visit Dr. Ruth Van Holst (University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands), another postdoc researcher form another Benelux University like me (Catholic University of Louvain (UCL), Belgium). She is in my Marie Curie research project TECH USE DISORDERS, and we have used the micro-grant to connect personally, before our communication was online, to do a meeting for the project and also about the Marie Curie grants with her and her promotor, Dr. Goudriaan; They are in the area of Psychiatry are interested in the IEF or other Marie Curie grants for future calls. Then thanks to this micro-grant I will be able to visit her and do a meeting to start this networking face to face and manage several strategies to connect, and simultaneously to promote the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) with the flyers and handouts I received by email, and to do copies for a meeting the same day afternoon for promote the grants and the association between their academic colleagues.

TO PROMOTE: International Congress on Addictive Disorders (ICAD) : Nantes April 16-18 2015. The Federative Institute of Behavioral Addictions (University Hospital of Nantes) organised ICAD in Nantes I have participated with an oral communication and act as ambassador of the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) and the chapter Benelux (BNL) in France thanks to this grant, with previous  the permission of the organising committee. I have provide to more than 45 ateendees to my communication the flyer that I have printed in my home previously, thanks to the printer and inks, photo papers (for flyers, n=50) and papers (for the handouts, n=500) in both sides with colour. The rest of handouts have been spread by the organisation in stands during all days. Next IPSY DAY: Louvain-la-Neuve: 19 of May 2015 I will do the same with a conference in the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL), inside the institute of research where I am developing my Marie Curie fellowship.

Finally, I really need people from BENELUX who help me to collect answers from the online survey of my project, which is in almost all our languages and it's about technologicas uses from adults. Please, could you help me to disseminate it between your students or other adults, conctact with me to easily collaborate. Thank you for your attention in this long email!

Best wishes,

Olatz Lopez-Fernandez, PhD

Dear all,

I write you because I was granted with a CONNECT micro-grant. This is my brief summary about it. The grant was requested to visit another postdoc researcher in a Benelux Institution (RFA in Brussels) and to connect in person. In past times, our communication was mainly on-line. Although she is working on an area that is close to mine, we did not have until now the chance to think on joining on a research project and to look for the possibilities on applying together to research grants in future calls. Also thanks to this micro-grant, it is possible to start this networking and think on the possible strategies to continue spreading the word about the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) with the available materials.

Cordially,

Juan
