Candidates announced for the Sweden Chapter Chair elections

Dear members of the MCAA Sweden Chapter,

As you know, your chapter is running elections for the Chair position. Please find below the eligible candidates in alphabetical order:

What happens next?

The election poll will open for voting on 1st August at 00:01 CEST, and remain open until the 4th of August 2024 at 23:59 CEST. During this time, candidates are asked to refrain from campaigning. 

Information about voting will be emailed to members and published on the Chapter page. 
 

Candidates’ manifestos

• Rana Saha

I am an active student who was engagged in Int. Student Union Norway as a masters student  and currently involved with Chalmers DrGenie (Gender initiative for excelleance), and Auditor to Doctoral students guild (DS). 

For MCAA Sweden chapter, i would focus to gather an active board ASAP followed by an annual manifesto. It will focus on visibility, engagement, and entertaintment. 

It would be challenging to create an engagging chapter in coming years but i am looking forward to take the opportunity!
 

• Xuesong Cai

I am an associate professor at Lund University, Sweden. My main research areas are radio propagation for 5G and beyond wireless communications. I have rich experience of academic service. I am a subcommittee chair of VTS propagation committee, an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, and IET Communications, a Senior Member of the IEEE, and an IEEE AP-S Young Professional Ambassador.

If elected, I will:

organize regular activities to promote connections among MSCA fellows inside Sweden

organize activities with other chapters to promote connections among MSCA fellows outside Sweden

foster synergies among MSCA fellows and strengthen publicity to increase the influence of MCAA and the Sweden Chapter.
