Dear all,
to present myself:
My Marie Curie fellowship country was Italy (I gave an interview about this on the MCAA portal). Last year I obtained a fellowship to go to the Romanian School in Rome for an academic year and study further scholars mobile between Romania and Italy in the field of architecture (a pioneer woman architect), in particular pioneering women. I am member of the Northern Italy chapter. This is a second fellowship I obtained last year, after a European postdoc from Structural Funds, for which reason I postponed the Rome one.
I published a book with an MCAA micro media grant. I made all possible publicity for the book, advertising it at Forum UNESCO University and Heritage, ICCROM news, CORDIS, our university webpage and bringing an open access copy to Zenodo and ICOMOS. The contents of the book is from a network in which I collaborated with another former Marie Curie fellow, Prof. Malte Rehbein. The book was present at the Romanian Architecture Biennale, and a review has been submitted to the Journal of Landscape Architecture.
I actively collaborate with the Research Executive Agency of the Commission to assess Marie Curie project applications. Last year I evaluated MSCA projects, after career integration grants in the past two years. In addition, I also evaluate projects in my field of 3D and cultural heritage as well as security.
Activities promoting Marie Curie women in science. In March 2014 I organised a session at the Eurodoc conference in Budapest on Women in Science representing the Marie Curie Fellows Association (MCFA), and in April 2015 I will organise one in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, in the same framework. In June 2014 I organised another one at the EuroScience Open Forum, together with the European Science Foundation, which received a wide echo, including in Nature (I also gave an interview for the MCAA portal). In September 2014, I participated at a conference under the Italian presidency of the genderSTE COST action, where I also represent the MCFA. In October 2014 I participated to a further conference on Femmes sans frontiers, in Romania, and submitted an abstract to a conference in Portugal in the field. The one in Portugal I did not attend, but instead I will present women and architecture at a conference in Vienna in April 2015 and just today at a conference in Bucharest. In fact, also my fellowship in Rome is connected to the topic of women, architecture and hazards. As a follow up of the m-WISET (mobile women in science, engineering, technology) group of the Marie Curie Fellows Association, in September the GEMS working group has been funded in the MCAA by the chair of m-WISET (I am co-chair) and is now collecting role models from the MCAA for a new booklet, for which I also wrote, so you can read about me more there. I am active in collecting profiles of partners for project applications under Horizon2020 GERI projects from what has been offered by genderSTE.
