Dear members, I did not have the chance to write anything after my election because I could not. I would like to say that I will do all my best to achieve two first important objectives: - broaden our chapter to collect more interested members - start to develop local network (universities, research centers, industries...) to support our chapter I will need the help of everyone!!!! *First objective: broaden our chapter to collect more interested members Two possible ways are in my mind: 1) Local "head-hunter" 2) France Chapter Events Local "head-hunter": members that are interested on that should diffuse the France Chapter flier (I will prepare it) to the university/research center they belong to. In the flier will be indicated the mail of the member, so that he/she will be the local responsible of the group. Please, let me know who is interested in that. France Chapter Events: we should organize events during the year, covering important topics like national support to research, taxation, integration in a new country... and stuff like that. For the beginning of this new year, I would like to organize an event with the following topic: - funding your idea! We could try to invite French and EU institutions to talk about possible way to fund its own research idea. Since the kick-off meeting was in Paris, I would like to organize this one in another place (Lion, Toulouse, Marseille). Who will be interested in helping the organization of that?
