Documentary Screening: "If not now, when?" Planning for the Urban Water-Energy-Food Nexus in Ladakh in the Indian Himalaya
MCAA member Dr Daphne Gondhalekar will host the first public screening of her documentary film at Seidl Villa at Nikolaiplatz in 80802 Munich on the 10th of March at 18.30. She made the documentary in 2015 with her colleagues at the University of Television and Film Munich and the Technical University of Munich.
The film is about the results of the research project on urban planning she conducted in recent years, supported by the European Commission and the German Research Foundation. The project is about the town Leh in the Indian Himalaya and its freshwater supply and wastewater management under rapid urban transformation owing to tourism industry growth and under climate change.
The film is 18 minutes long. There will be a brief introduction and a discussion afterwards.
Entry is free. Contributions to a pilot project we wish to implement are very welcome.
