Two of the new meetings are part of a brand new conference series in collaboration with the Wellcome Genome Campus, where the conferences will alternate yearly between Heidelberg and Hinxton. Another exciting addition to the programme is an EMBL-DFG Women in Science Network Conference, where renowned female speakers will present their research on a broad range of topics, and will be complemented by various networking activities for all participants. | |
Not to forget are the already established meetings like VIZBI, Microfluidics, Transcription and Chromatin, and The Complex Life of mRNA! Microtubules is back again, this time as an EMBO|EMBL Symposium, and it coincides with the 50th anniversary of the discovery of tubulin! Participants can expect a historical perspective on tubulin, as well as the most exciting cutting-edge research in the field. Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall, we have courses to cover it all! Ready to learn the most up to date NGS techniques, bioinformatics tools, microscopy techniques or just practical molecular biology workflows? Select from 57 courses being held at EMBL Heidelberg, EMBL-EBI Hinxton, EMBL Grenoble or EMBL Hamburg. These courses will provide you with invaluable skills to take your research to a new level, and give you access to excellent teachers, state-of-the-art instruments and interactions with fellow scientists from your field. |
Fellowships for talented young scientists Thanks to the generous support of its Corporate Partners, EMBL is pleased to announce that fellowships will be made available again in 2016 for several scientific meetings and courses. The fellowships ensure that talented scientists are not precluded from making their contribution to events at EMBL due to insufficient funding. Travel grants are also available from EMBO and Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds, and for more information on criteria and deadlines please check individual course or conference websites. |
