Facebook page and Networking event series

Dear Members,

We have some new initiatives for you:

1. We have a Facebook community page now for our Chapter - please help us make it a lively place :)

2. Local pub meet series

MCAA Polish Chapter will sponsor local meetings of Chapter members for networking over a coffee, beer or pizza. These meetings will help integrate our local communities, enhance networking and collaborations. Hopefully, you can grow your support network this way, and combine science and fun!

The first meeting will take place in Warsaw on April 21st at "Jeleń na Rykowisku" (Grójecka 118) - please register here so we know how many to expect.

We hope to organize soon similar meetings in Kraków, Wrocław and Gdańsk, too!

You can organize one of these events in your city, under the following conditions:

- at least 3 MCAA members from at least 2 different MSCA projects need to be present (please sign attendance)

- costs need to be reasonable (proportional to the number of people, for example not more than 10 EUR per MCAA member)

- in order to get reimbursed, you need to present original receipts, which have to be kept for 5 years (or mailed to MCAA)

- meetings need to be advertised so that others can join you to grow your network (here on the Chapter group, an event on MCAA website, maybe also on Facebook, ...)

- please remember to send us a brief report afterwards for our Chapter reporting/newsletter :)

- feel free to invite non-MCAA members to the networking event, but please keep our Chapter budget sponsoring to our members only.

Looking forward to seeing you in Warsaw soon!

best wishes,

Maria

Dear members,

Communications Working Group has anounced that they can help advertise "MCAA Hang-out Meetings":

https://www.mariecuriealumni.eu/mcaa-hang-out-meetings

They look exactly like what we had in mind when launching our new Networking event series :)

If you'd like to organize one of these in your city, you can make use of their form, which could make it easier with advertising and attracting more participants that you can't reach by yourself.

If you do so, you don't need to fill out the second part of that form (you don't need CWG funding - Polish Chapter will sponsor our meetings from our chapter budget) and you don't need 10 members present (you need at least 3 at the moment with our chapter rules).

Hopefully we meet again soon and hang out!

Maria
