Hello! As an archaeologist, I am interested in understanding human adaptations, resilience, and vulnerability to climate change in the long-term. How did communities deal with environmental (including climate) change in the past and what lessons can be learnt for the present and future. I am also interested in understanding the relation between perceptions and impacts of climate change across different cultures and societies, especially (but not limited to) islands, given their particular vulnerability to climate change. I am a member of IHOPE Islands, a global initiative which aims to examine key hazards facing island societies: http://ihopenet.org/the-ihope-islands-project/ Perhaps these two conferences on the anthropology of climate change could be of interest to the group: https://therai.org.uk/about-the-rai/rai-announcements/call-for-panels http://www.climatechangeinculture.com/#!schedule/cee5 Really looking forward to the discussions! All the best Helen
