Hungarian Chapter has been approved

On

Dear Hungarian chapter Board,

Congratulations! Following your Application for MCAA Chapters, we are happy to inform you that the proposal for the creation of the Hungarian Chapter has been approved and we look forward to work with you.

The ExCom decided to allocate € 2000 to the Hungarian Chapter with the possibility of requesting extra funding later. The period of activities is 1st October – 30th September, so please bear in mind that the first year of activities of this Chapter ends in 9 months.

According to the new Guidelines for Chapters “the continuation of existing Chapters is ensured through the presentation to the MCAA of the two six-monthly formal reports of past activities, and of a new plan of future activities, to be sent to the MCAA by the Chair of the Chapter at the end of the annual period of activities (i.e. September)”. This means you’re expected to send us a Report of Activities until 31st of March 2017 and a Report of Activities and a Plan of Activities until 30th September 2017. Please find the templates here.

The reason why your first report will be sent after 3 months of the beginning of the Chapter is due to the fact that the ExCom decided “to 'standardise' the year of Chapters’ activity so that all Chapters begin a new year of activity on 1st October 2016 (instead of at different times as was previously the case) and end it on 30th September 2017”.

In order to validate the decision, please acknowledge reception of this email and confirm your willingness to accept the allocated budget for the creation of the Chapter, by the 2016-12-30.

Looking forward for your reply, we remain at your disposal for any question.

Best regards

On behalf of the MCAA
