[IMP] HNY, Micro Grants & Awards

Season's greetings and a very happy new year!

Here are some important updates:

1. Call for Micro General Assembly Grant (MGAG) is now open!

financial support to cover the travel and accommodation expenses of MCAA members for attending the 2025 Annual Conference & General Assembly in Krakow-Poland during March 21–22, 2025 is now available.

2. Submit your abstract for a poster or lightning talk

The MCAA Annual Conference offers a great opportunity to share your research discoveries and project experiences. That is why we invite our members to submit abstracts for one of two different formats: traditional posters, which will be presented on-site in Krakow, or 3-minute-long lightning talks, which can be given on-site or online.

There’s more: All approved and presented posters and lightning talks will be published in the conference book of abstracts. Take a look at the 2024 and 2023 editions for inspiration.

Abstract submissions for the two formats can be done via this form until January 27th, 2025. If your abstract is accepted for presentation at the conference, please follow these instructions for preparing your poster or lightning talk.

3. Nominate your colleague for the MCAA Awards

Every year, we highlight and reward our members for their actions within the MCAA community. There are four types of MCAA Awards:

• MCAA Career Award to reward a member with an excellent career
• MCAA Best Innovator Award to reward a member with the best innovation approach
• MCAA Social Impact Award to reward a member whose activity has a positive social impact
• MCAA Outstanding Contributor Award to reward the member who has significantly contributed to the MCAA
