Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) - European Association for Archaeologists (EAA)

On

Dear members of the E&N WG, As you know, our WG of the MCAA took part at the EEA 2017, which took place in Maastricht from 31th August to 3rd September. It was a fantastic opportunity not only to raise awareness about the MCAA amongst many young researchers and potential supervisors engaged in the preparation of proposals under the MSCA Programme, but also to reinforce and enlarge the network of the many MCAA active members who took part at the Maastricht Conference, laying the foundations for future events in collaboration with the EAA. During its 22 years of existence, this organisation has involved more than 10,000 members from 60 countries worldwide. It was also an occasion to promote main Marie Curie Researchers’ activities in order to build professional collaborations. I will write an article for the MCAA Newsletter soon in order to share this experience. Our Working Group will also represent the MCAA at the EU Corner at the event “Science is wonder-ful. The European Researchers’ Night”, which will take place at the Parlamentarium in Brussels on 26 and 27 September. With a myriad of activities for all, it will act as a launch event to kick off the 2017 European Researchers’ Night around Europe. I would like to remind you that the Events and Networking Working Group is actively looking for enthusiastic and productive volunteers to increase the visibility of the MCAA and its members in order to promote their participation in important international events, including: job meetings; events aimed at attracting people to research; and events to promote research and innovation, such as the Euro Science Open Forum. I look forward to hearing from you. Ciao, Angela
