MCAA General Assembly (+ Drinks/meetup in Cork?)

I did not hear anything about cancelling it yet ... 

Still fully intend to go! (Travelling from Dublin)

Hi Barry, GA will be cancelled but the board meeting might still happen. There is online board meeting today that I couldnt not attend but I will update everyone asap there is a decision. 

I strong discurage everyone to make new bookings as of now.

It's a shame the GA will be cancelled but not too surprising. Does anyone know if the MCAA travel grants will cover bookings already made?

This is the feeling from ongoing discussions among board memmbers and chairs. Just wait for a couple of days and there will be a final decision.

Thanks Tarun, Yuqin and Sana for getting back. That's great that there is interest in this.

We should aim to organise something in Cork soon, although given the uncertainty around Covid-19 it's difficult to plan anything at the moment. I might wait for now and I'll create a new thread here on the MCAA Ireland Chapter to organise a Cork event, maybe in a month or two when things have (hopefully) settled down?
