MCAA SEA at the EU-ASEAN Cooperation and Scholarships Day

The Chapter actively participated in the 4th EU-ASEAN Cooperation and Scholarship Day held via Hopin last August 12-13 which was attended by thousands of young people from the EU and ASEAN. Dr. Jen Elmaco spoke in two sessions: in the panel on the 12th August on "Emerging data scientists" and on the panel discussing "Technology for smart cities"

She also spoke during the session on "European funding & support at your fingertips" where she shared her Marie Curie fellowship experience. 

In attendance during the event were ASEAN Secretary-General HE Dato Lim Jock Hoi and EU Ambassador to ASEAN HE Igor Driesmans, Permanent Representative of the Philippines to ASEAN, Ambassador Noel Servigon, and Deputy Secretary-General Cultural Community, HE Kung Phoak.

The two-day conference showcased EU-ASEAN cooperation programmes and scholarship opportunities from ASEAN and EU member states.
The virtual fair also included booths, presentations and interactive games provided by the participating exhibitors comprised of embassies from EU and ASEAN Member States, EU-ASEAN cooperation projects, education agencies and institutions from ASEAN and EU
