Future of the Doctorate Latvia 28-29 May 2015 -
GEMS WG was invited by the organisers of the conference to send a speaker for the session Integrating Gender Dimension in Doctoral Training. tHE CONFERENCE ADDRESSED SEVERAL ASPECTS OF TEH DOCTORAL TRAINING AND AMONG THEM OTHER THEMNES : IT WAS IMPORTANT TO DISCUSS HOW THE GENDER DIMENSION CAN BE INTEGRATED WITHIN THE pHd TRAINING. mORE THAN 250 PEOPLE ATTENDED THE CONFERENCE FROM eUROPEAN ORGANISATIONS, UNIVERSITIES, RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS, LARGE COMPANIES AND SMEs
Natalia Balcazar presented aspects related to gender and mobility at the session. She was funded by European Commission. Natalia remarked that there is a large expertise in gender equality at GEMS WG that could be mobilised for the evaluation of ideas and projects al European level. A part of the discussion was oriented on the results of the survey of EURODOC, and after the sesison there were some exhange od ideas on how to collaborate with EURODOC to spread the results of gEMS WG and forward the work done. MObility reletaed to gender was an innovative aspect discussed with the participants.
