The Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) Annual Report 2025 highlights the Association's growth, strategic policy advocacy, and community impact under its motto, "Bridging minds, building futures", during a significant year for the MCAA.
Representing over 24,000 members across more than 155 countries, with 41 Chapters and 9 Working Groups, the MCAA expanded its global footprint in 2025 through key events, including its Annual Conference in Kraków and regional meetings across Central Europe, Latin America, and North America. Member development was actively supported through microgrants, the MCAA Learning Programme, and mentoring platforms PEP-CV and the MCAA Academy. Furthermore, the MCAA launched a new brand identity and a renewed and more accessible website, established a physical office in Brussels, and expanded its professional Secretariat.
On the policy and research front, the Association asserted its influence through the inaugural MCAA Policy Forum at the European Parliament and published flagship statements advocating for a researcher-centred 10th EU Framework Programme (FP10). The MCAA also drove systemic reform and research initiatives by coordinating and participating in projects focusing on science policy impact, sustainable career structures, Open Science, and citizen science, among others.
