The key element of this event will be a peer-support workshop organised in collaboration with the MCAA Career Development Manager, Pooja Khurana.

The facilitators will guide the discussions while participants work initially in small groups. Early-career researchers who have recently arrived in Ireland will, as far as possible, be mixed with more experienced members of the Irish research community to encourage peer learning and networking.

Before and after this main activity, there will be presentations on the MCAA, its mission, and its organisational structure. The Coordinators of the Ireland Chapter and visiting Chapters will share their experiences of supporting MCAA members. The MCAA Chair, Ornela Bardhi, will also deliver a short address.

Ireland Chapter member and former MCAA Board member Irene Castellano-Pellicena will give a presentation on funding opportunities in Ireland. MCAA members who have successfully transitioned from their MSCA fellowship to the next stage of their careers will share their experiences and insights. The event will conclude with a Q&A session.
