The Advanced Global Navigation Satellite Systems tropospheric products for
monitoring severe weather events and climate (GNSS4SWEC) is a four-year
COllaboration in Science and Technology (COST) action. The GNSS4SWEC
addresses new and improved capabilities from concurrent developments in
both the GNSS and meteorological communities. Currently more than 29
COST countries in Europe as well as Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Tunisia
and USA take part in this Action. The 2014 GNSS4SWEC summer school in
Bulgaria targets early stage researchers and will provide training and
networking opportunities.
The training topics of the school are:
– GNSS processing techniques (related to GNSS4SWEC, WG1)
– GNSS for severe weather monitoring (related to GNSS4SWEC, WG2)
– GNSS for climate monitoring (related to GNSS4SWEC, WG3)
– Scientific writing skills
Basic rules of the summer school:
– The summer school is free of charge for all members of GNSS4SWEC
participating institutions
– Registration for the summer school is compulsory
– Travel expenses of up to 300 euros per participant will be fully
covered. Any additional travel expenses are not reimbursable
– Every participant will be accommodated in a separate room in the
hotel where the summer school will be held
– Research poster is mandatory for all participants
