Hi everybody. I am just to start my MC-IOF in Australia. My host institution is INRA in France and I am having a lot of problems with the health insurance. I cannot get the visa without it and my institutions is not clear about which kind of health coverage I will have during my outgoing phase. Does anybody have any experience dealing with this problem? I have asked about paying with overheads (as the EU recommends) but it seems INRA does not follow this guideline.

Dear Rosa Ana, I have been in the same situation when I was in the USA. The HI told me that they had to check if it was possible, then they told me that they had to check the real availability, then they told me that they were waiting for Brussels to transfer the second part of the fellowship...and, up to now, I hadn't received a single euro! I am still positive that, eventually, I will get something back; problem is that I had to pay for all expenses in advance. I can only advise you to ask your PO in Bruxelles to contact the administration in France...and to have a lot of patience with the administrators! Good luck, marco
