Dear members of the Swedish chapter, The MCAA Communication WG announces the first webinar of the Science communication and outreach series: “Scientists on stage: Science slam” taking place on 24th September 2020, 17:00 CET. Science slams are becoming a more and more popular format for science communication and outreach! In only 5-10 minutes, scientists have to explain their research to the general public using understandable, entertaining, and concise language. Bringing your science closer to the non-scientific audience increases the impact of your research! The follow-up webinar will be held in October 2020 as an interactive workshop on how to prepare a science slam talk on stage for a broad audience (more information will follow). The webinar is open to researchers of all nationalities and disciplines. The number of participants is limited and will be offered on a “first come-first serve” basis.
