[Invitation] UNESCO Actions Groups for Women in Science

As part of the UNESCO Call to Action “Closing the Gender Gap in Science”, launched last February, the UNESCO Women in Science team is delighted to invite you to the new UNESCO Actions Groups for Women in Science.

These working groups will provide an excellent opportunity to share experiences and innovative ideas on how to advance gender equality in science, reflect on existing initiatives, and explore potential ways to collaborate and create new partnerships.

The first series of these working groups will be held online in September, conducted in English via Zoom. Below, you will find the schedule and registration links, with each Action Group focused on one of the key pillars of the Call to Action:

·Action Group for Pillar 1 - Enhancing the visibility of female role models to dismantle gender stereotypes and biases in science: Monday, 9 September 2024, 2pm – 4pm (CEST, Paris time)

  • Action Group for Pillar 2 - Developing innovative and inspiring educational strategies and initiatives to open educational pathways for girls in science: Thursday, 12 September 2024, 2pm – 4pm (CEST, Paris time)

Please feel free to share this invitation with colleagues in your network who may be interested in joining the discussions. These working groups are open-ended, and anyone can join by simply registering online for the next meeting.
