MCAA UK Pub Social in September - pick a date!
Dear Member, The committee of the Marie Curie Alumni Association - UK chapter (MCAA UK) would like to invite you to the first social event of the upcoming academic year, which will take place in London, on one of the Fridays in September (venue, most likely a pub, TBC). We would like to take this opportunity to meet you all again in an informal setting and talk you through the series of exciting events that we have in the pipeline, including two fellows' seminars, the next AGM + Science Slam and multiple social meet-ups.

Hi Wesam,
We're aware that not everyone wants to travel to London every time for a meeting, so there are future events planned outside of the capital. However, part of the problem is that there is such a concentration of members there. We are always looking for alumni outside of London to help organise local events. I'm sure the committee would enthusiastically support (or even fund) extra activities.
Hi Wesam, our London events are always successful - but as Mark says we are looking for organizers of events in other cities, too - would you like to be one of them?

I agree it would be great to get some events organised throughout the UK. I'll be moving to Aberdeen in September (after finishing my Fellowship in Spain), and would be interested in getting inolved in organising an event up in Scotland if there are any other Fellows up there that would be interested in meeting up.

But the 29th got most of the votes...
Both our Chair and Secretary can't do the 29th, that's why we'll definitely start on the 8th and then see if any other evening can be organized

Thanks for the invitation. London is a nice and great city. But, it might be a good idea to choose a different city for meeting. Why is always London?!
