Research and training costs

Dear Siobhán,

According to MSCA rules, research and training costs can only be spent on research and training. My understanding is that this means the institution can't draw any costs on that. But they can draw from institutional and management costs. For example, if they take a percentage for each of your expenditures - which as per my knowledge is possible -, it will be withdrawn from institutional and management costs only.

For the other question, it seems to me that it would not be possible to ask fellows to spend 1000 Euros every month. The situation I know is one in which expenditures are done as and when necessary, and just they must over all come within the budget. You must see the details with your institution as every organisation has its own rules, but accprding to me it is OK not to spend every month and to have more than 1000 Euro expenditure in other months.
